DarkRP Server Rules

Section 1. General Rules
  1. We value freedom of speech, but blatant racism, sexism, hate speech, or slander is strictly prohibited.
  2. Do not intentionally harass other players.
  3. Avoid chat spamming or advertising through chat or text screens.
  4. Do not attempt prop abuse, including Prop Kill, Prop Climb, Prop Block, etc.
  5. Any DDoS threats will be taken seriously.
  6. Hacking or doxing threats will result in permanent bans.
  7. Do not LTAP (Leave To Avoid Punishment). This also applies to roleplay situations; you cannot leave while being raided, mugged, etc.
  8. Do not RDM (Random Deathmatch).
  9. Do not abuse your job. For example, switching to a gun dealer to supply weapons and then switching back to use them is prohibited.
  10. Scamming is not allowed.
  11. Do not Metagame. Examples include hearing a player's printers through walls and raiding them, or informing a police officer that you're being raided after dying, etc.
  12. NLR (New Life Rule) is 5 minutes.
  13. Do not cheat or exploit.
  14. Staff have the final say.

Section 2. Raiding Rules
  1. Raids have a maximum time limit of 15 minutes.
  2. To initiate a raid, you must advertise "raid," and all assisting members must advertise "assist."
  3. You cannot raid a base with a building sign.
  4. If you die during a raid, you CANNOT return to the raid, regardless of whether your NLR time limit has expired. However, Government Employees are ALLOWED to return to PD and bank vault raids.
  5. After completing a raid, you must wait 10 minutes before starting another.
  6. You cannot change your job during a raid.

Section 3. Mugging Rules
  1. You must always advertise when mugging a player.
  2. The maximum amount for a mug is $30,000.
  3. After mugging a player, you must wait 10 minutes before mugging another.
  4. You cannot mug hobos or their lord.

Section 4. Counter Rules
  1. You must always advertise when you are countering.
  2. You must advertise "counter" in front of the mug, raid, or kidnapping that is occurring.
  3. If you are in a party, you still must advertise "counter" and/or "assist" to help your party.

Section 5. Party/Group Rules
  1. You must advertise "counter" and/or "assist" to defend or assist members of your party.
  2. You must be in a party/group if you are basing with others.
  3. The maximum group size is 8.

Section 6. Kidnapping Rules
  1. You must advertise to kidnap someone.
  2. The maximum time you can hold someone is 15 minutes. This timer starts the moment you advertise.
  3. The maximum ransom for a kidnapped person is $100,000.
  4. If you are being kidnapped, you must follow all instructions.
  5. DO NOT leave the server to avoid being kidnapped or attempt suicide.

Section 7. Basing Rules
  1. A maximum of 3 fading doors is allowed for base protection.
  2. Fading door abuse, such as using them to kill others, is prohibited.
  3. Unauthorized entry beyond the first fading door constitutes trespassing or raiding, allowing for retaliation.
  4. All fading doors must have a visible keypad nearby; no fake keypads are allowed.
  5. Keypad access time must be a minimum of 4 seconds.
  6. Megabasing requires ownership of all doors in the blocked-off area and participation from at least five individuals.
  7. No basing in spawn or spawn tunnels, or any spawn buildings.
  8. KOS signs must be clear and visible, specifying location.
  9. Base owners' rights extend to the entire building if they own the front doors.
  10. No pixel-perfect gaps or crouch bases are allowed.
  11. No blackout or surf bases are permitted.
  12. No disorienting or blinding lights.
  13. You cannot own more than one base, except for Section 7.7 Megabases.
  14. Your base cannot have any ledges or drops.
  15. You cannot have more than one fading door entrance to your base; entry must be straightforward for the raider.
  16. The use of buttons for fading doors is prohibited.
  17. Building on the street is prohibited unless you are a hobo or building a megabase
  18. Your base must incorporate the buyable doors of a building. IE you can build on a roof but you must own the doors to the building below
  19. The use of one-way props is ALLOWED, but the player must be able to see you clearly for you to shoot them. Once engaged, you must NOT retreat from the one-way prop.
  20. The use of building signs is ALLOWED, but you must have NO entities that generate money, such as BTC miners, printers, drugs, etc.

Section 8. Mayor Rules
  1. Mayors are prohibited from remaining within spawn areas during their term.
  2. You CANNOT create laws that target specific players or jobs within the job list. Examples include arresting all Gun Dealers or player A is AOS.
  3. You cannot create laws that are NOT related to roleplay. Examples include declaring all jaywalkers as AOS.
  4. KOS (Kill On Sight) laws are strictly FORBIDDEN.

Section 9. Police Rules
  1. DO NOT abuse the stun stick.
  2. Base owners can only be warranted and raided if they are harboring a wanted player or if the base belongs to the wanted player.
  3. Before resorting to lethal force, an attempt to arrest must be made. Lethal force is only permitted if the player resists arrest.
  4. Ownership of doors and basing outside the PD as any police/government job is PROHIBITED.
  5. Bitcoin miners are permitted by default and can be used within the Bank/PD unless specifically prohibited by law. Money printers are prohibited by default unless changed by law.
  6. Blocking the entrance door to the PD is prohibited. However, blocking beyond the second door and past the stairs is allowed. KOS is only allowed past these points. KOS signs are not allowed in the lobby.

Section 10. Airdrop Rules
  1. Any player that enters the fountain area whilst a airdrop is active is KOS
  2. You may NOT KOS people outside the fountain area.
  3. Once in the fountain area you CANNOT leave it.
  4. The fountain area is only KOS whilst an airdrop is active. This means the crate has to be on the ground.

Section 11. Terror Rules
  1. You must Advert terror.
  2. There is a cooldown between terror attacks of 30 minutes.
  3. Terror attacks may only last 5 minutes.
  4. Do not enter buildings or sit on rooftops during a terror attack.

Section 12. Exploits and Bug Abuse
  1. Any known exploits or bugs should be reported to the staff immediately.
  2. Deliberate exploitation of game mechanics or bugs for personal gain or to disrupt the server will result in severe penalties.

The rules may be updated or modified at any time, so it is the responsibility of the players to stay updated with the latest rules.
